Current Board "Decides" Middle School placement

The School Board meets tonight, 7pm, at the Middle School/High School cafeteria in Boiceville on Route 28, to decide where to place its proposed Grades 5-8 Middle School. All indicators point to the Board placing it in the current MS/HS footprint. What will this mean for our district?

  • Closure of Woodstock/Phoenicia Elementary.
  • $70-$86,000,000 taxpayer funded bonds to pay for reconfiguration
  • 5th Graders in same building and on same buses as 12th Graders
  • Maxed-out class sizes district-wide
  • Loss of jobs, decline in property values, loss of community
Please show up if you can this evening (the Board Meetings are public) to be witness when the Board makes it decision.

How can you hope to see this decision reversed? Only by voting for the block of four - Flayhan, Osmond, Legnini, McGillicuddy - on May 20.
